Twelve questions to ask a reputation management company
Use this before any sales call, including one with us.
About the work
1. What exactly will you do for each item that worries me? 2. Which items cannot be removed, and why? 3. Will you ever write, buy or arrange reviews? The only acceptable answer to the last one is no.
About the methods
4. Will you send legal notices, and who signs them? 5. Do you use any court orders? 6. How do you report content to Google or a review site? A provider should be able to name the specific policy or legal process for each request.
About accountability
7. Will I approve everything posted or filed in my name? 8. Can I see the requests you send? 9. What happens if the content comes back?
About the agreement
10. Can I stop at any time? 11. Who will I actually talk to? 12. What will you report to me, and how often? Vague answers to these are a reason to keep looking.
